STRAPMASTER is the first robot strapping machine developed in the world.
The STRAPMASTER is a fully automatic
strapping machine. The machine
supplies straps to the steel coil around its circumference to bind a steel coil
with the packaging
materials according to the sequence of a programmed robotic movement. The machine consists of a strap dispenser,
head unit, head robot, grip unit and grip robot. Now all the strapping jobs can be done by only one set
of machine.
STRAPMASTER makes light-weight, simplification and smaller size of the machine
possible,
therefore, it makes maximizing factory space usage and reduced investment cost efficient.
Furthermore, various strapping materials such as steel and PET
straps can be used in one machine. Since the STRAPMASTER uses robots, it can be used
for various packaging applications.
Features
The robot strapping machine has multi-joints which
perform every required movement and wrap coils with steel straps without any
special steel structures, hence, maks it possible to eliminate all the
posts, beams and steel structures for steel strap wrapping, which were needed in the conventional
strapping machines. STRAPMASTER
can be used for every packaging application such as vertical, horizontal and
skid packaging. Especially, it is more useful for small and
medium-sized steel processing factories, which are suffering from their
inefficiency such as waste of materials, lots of manpower loss and poor safety,
because it provides various multi-functional
packaging solutions. The robot strapping machine has many
merits such as smaller installation space of 14.5 meters so that more
storage space, much less capital investment and more safe working
environment can be realized. One set of robot machine can perform all the
functions, which were carried out by three conventional strapping machines
before, and it has a
packaging capacity of 20 steel coil strappings per hour.
Patented Technology
The multi-functional and multi-purpose
robot strapping machine is developed to comply with the management vision of
fully automation of coil packaging lines and to eliminate complaints
end-users are having at site. STRAPMASTER is the only strapping machine with a new concept of robotic
operation for steel strapping works. Currently, four Korean patents for
this new robotic steel strapping
machine, STRAPMASTER, have
been granted so far and international patents in the USA,
Japan and China have also been granted.
